Challenge
Translate the thoughts and phrases from André 3000's 47 custom Outkast tour jumpsuits into a film experience that could stand alongside them in a gallery setting.
Gregory Brunkalla created "Trumpets," a triptych film shot across a dozen locations in and around Savannah. 3 slide projectors cast words and phrases onto 3 rear-projected screens with separate synchronizations from the film — creating a unique experience for every viewer at every screening.
Result
The exhibition premiered at Mana Miami during Art Basel and later traveled to the SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah.
